About Me

WHO ARE YOU?
Hi, there. Welcome to my blog. For some weird reason, you're interested to know more about me. So, I guess I should introduce myself?

I am Kid, a 24-year old corporate professional who works for a living but writes to live. I like to daydream, go on adventures, and judge people in my head. I also enjoy sports and folk/alternative/indie music. But the most important fact you need to know about me is: I take public vehicles almost everyday (if I didn't, I probably didn't go to work).

On weekdays, my daily routine involves at least four hours of commute. That's 20 hours per week or approximately 44 days in a year spent on sitting in a public vehicle. This involves taking a bus, jeepneys, trains, tricycles, and some walking. It also involves guessing figuring out which route will get me where I need to be the fastest. All to get to work and get home.

O.M.G., WHY?
Simple. I work in Makati and live in Quezon City. Traffic is so bad that everyday feels like I am off to a far-flung province. I bet you're thinking why I can't just drive. Well, I cannot afford it yet. So I have to trust manong driver. And besides, I need something interesting to blog about!

WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR STORY, KID?
You. Obviously. Well, at least you should. Remember that first time you rode the jeep and you slightly missed your stop by, say, 20 blocks? Or that time you rode the bus that did not stop anywhere in EDSA and forced you to take another ride back? Or how about that time you missed the MRT-3 stop that connects to the LRT-1? Now, don't you wish someone guided you then? This is for you.

Hopefully, by sharing my experiences with you, I can help you navigate through this confusing maze we call the Philippine public transport system. I will tell you how to get to where you need to go, what to do to get there safely and on time, and why you can still bank on public vehicles. I made this blog for all of you who got lost, gets lost, and will get lost using the Philippine public transportation system.

Our goal is to let you have enough street smarts to get you taking the public transport with ease.

WHY ELSE SHOULD I KEEP COMING BACK TO YOUR BLOG?
True, commuting takes 44 days of my year; but I still have 321 days in a year to do something else. From time to time, I will be posting travel articles, hotel reviews, food delights, and experience journals. Just so you get to know other things the world has to offer. I hope this is enough to keep you coming back.

Now that you know a bit more about me, mind telling me about you? Hop on.
